In September, a group of clients and staff went to London for the day together. For some it was the first time they had visited the capital, and for one or two, the first time they had been outside of Darlington. Lord Lieutenant Visit

Lord Lieutenant Sue Snowdon and the Vice Lord Lieutenant, Alasdair MacConachie visited the 700 Club to see how the work we do makes a difference to the community in Darlington. She spent time at the Head Office with John Elliston CEO and Yvonne Beattie the Services Manager before visiting Hope House, meeting staff, and seeing some of the facilities that the organisation provides.Read more

Police Commissioner Supports 700 Club

The 700 Club made a successful bid for funding from the County Durham & Darlington Community Safety Fund. The fund supports projects and initiatives across County Durham & Darlington that help keep communities safe and inspire public confidence.Read more

Spirit of the Community Award

The 700 Club have received a Spirit of the Community award of £5000 from the Yorkshire and Clydesdale Bank Foundation. It will be used to part fund an initiative directed towards the large number of individuals begging in Darlington Town Centre.Read more

Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer Success

After a successful partnership bid to the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) with Darlington Borough Council and Darlington CAB, the 700 Club will will be launching an Early Intervention Outreach Project focused on helping individuals address problems that, left unaddressed, could ultimately lead to the loss of somewhere to live.Read more
