Floating support service The 700 Club provides housing related support to those people (16+)with drug and alcohol issues. To ensure the best possible individual outcomes we work in partnership with a large range of agencies to maximise opportunities and build a support network around each individual. The support offered is client led, and is based around the individual, which means the client is in control. Through support planning we assist the client to identify their current needs as well as their future aspirations and goals. Areas we commonly support with include: Help clients address substance misuse issues and implement harm minimisation strategies, including advice on relapse prevention, risks of drug and alcohol use and referral to specialist services where required Working with the Local Authority, Registered Social Landlords and Private Landlords to source and maintain suitable accommodation Support to reduce criminal involvement and offending related to substance misuse Assist in accessing welfare benefits entitlements, including housing benefit Support to budget within means, debt management, opening bank accounts and setup of standing orders Provide information, advice and support to address health and social care needs. Access to the service can be gained by referral from a health or social care professional. People can also self-refer by calling 01325 366397. There is also a Drop-in at 700 Club Head Office, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am - 12 pm. Whilst supported by this service, individuals are expected to engage with the support staff on a regular basis to work towards addressing their needs. Support hours vary according to individual need and are gradually reduced over the time we work with the individual as support needs reduce.
