The 700 Club are a homeless charity based in Darlington. We are currently seeking experienced hostel night workers to join the team in our supported accommodation.

The roles include carrying out housing management duties, ensuring the safety and security of the building and the well-being of the residents. Candidates will have prior experience of working night shifts, and working with individuals with complex issues. Full training will be given for this specific role.

Duties will include:

  • Carrying out and accurately recording health and safety, security and other checks deemed necessary to ensure the integrity of the building and the safety of the residents.
  • Monitoring the security cameras and door entry system at all times
  • Maintaining agreed administrative procedures - record keeping.
  • Maintaining a contact log of any resident or agency contact during the shift.
  • Dealing with any matters of nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
  • Ensuring residents have a good understanding of their tenancy agreements.
  • Ensuring that the building, its furnishings and equipment are kept to the agreed standards, reporting damage and necessary repairs.
  • Undertaking cleaning duties
  • Carrying out small maintenance tasks as and when appropriate.
  • Recognising when service users require immediate professional support and contacting specialist services.

The night shifts work on a 4 on, 4 off rolling rota, 22.15 to 08.15.
