Job Role:




The role of the Outreach Support Team Leader is to oversee a team of three Outreach Support Workers within a service designed to respond to Safeguarding Alerts by offering immediate, brief, and focussed support. The team will work with partner agencies, engaging proactively in order to overcome the immediate issues that have precipitated the alert.

The team leader will be responsible for the day to day running and monitoring of the project, conducting team appraisals and supervisions, and working alongside the Services Manager to provide the highest possible quality of service. The person appointed will also hold a caseload, and undertake interventions that may include

·         Home visits  

·         One-to-one sessions  

·         Immediate referrals to appropriate agencies

·         Referrals to on-going specialist support if necessary

·         Hand holding to attend meetings/appointments

·         Developing strategies to avoid precipitating further safeguarding alerts.

·         Preventing homelessness
