Early Intervention Support Worker The role of the Outreach Support Worker is to respond to Vulnerability Alerts, offering immediate, brief, and focussed support, working with partner agencies, engaging proactively in order to overcome the immediate issues that have precipitated the alert. Interventions may include: Home visits One-to-one sessions Immediate referrals to appropriate agencies Referrals to on-going specialist support if necessary Hand holding to attend meetings/appointments Developing strategies to avoid the issuing of safeguarding alerts in the future.
