The 700 Club Early Intervention Project is a partnership with Darlington Borough Council and is part of the Governments Trailblazer Initiative aimed at the prevention of homelessness. The idea of the project is to use the intelligence that flows into authority as a predictor of potential housing crisis, and to provide the earliest possible response in order to avoid homelessness or housing need. Rather than waiting until an issue becomes critical, this initiative contributes to the Local Authority's Prevention strategy, and builds on the old adage, "a stitch in time saves nine".
