After a successful partnership bid to the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) with Darlington Borough Council and Darlington CAB, the 700 Club will will be launching an Early Intervention Outreach Project focused on helping individuals address problems that, left unaddressed, could ultimately lead to the loss of somewhere to live.Read more

On the 28th September, the 700 Club marked 20 years of serving the people of Darlington at its AGM. It was a time for celebration, that had three ingredients that made it particularly special. First, there was a cheque from Darlington Building Society for £4,800, then a plaque was presented by the Mayor, Councillor Brian Jones, and finally, an ex-resident of St George's Hall, spoke of his journey out of alcoholism.Read more

On August 4th the 700 Club marked its 20th Anniversary with a celebration in the car park at Head Office. A hog-roast, a rodeo machine and a coconut shy featured among the entertainments, while live music played in the backgound.Read more
Cathy .. still waiting for a home after 50 years. Across the country the number of people sleeping rough is rising. According to St Mungo's the number of people sleeping rough with a mental health problem has more than tripled over the past five years.
In Nov 2016, a report by Shelter reports that every 10 minutes a family, somewhere, becomes homeless.
