700 Club Support Worker Strikes Gold

Joanne Tonkin, a 700 Club support worker, overcame strong opposition in the European Kettlebell Championships in Lithuania and came home with two gold medals. It was a real family affair, because her son, who was competing in the Junior Championship at the same event, gained a silver and a bronze medal. Quite a haul for the English Team. In September, a group of clients and staff went to London for the day together. For some it was the first time they had visited the capital, and for one or two, the first time they had been outside of Darlington.
