Bridge2Home assists homeless and vulnerable people to access housing in the private rental sector by guaranteeing the landlord’s bond, the sum of money required by the majority of landlords prior to the start of a tenancy.  The level of bond can be as high as £400. For people helped by this scheme, a requirement for an up-front payment of such magnitude represents an insurmountable barrier to accessing suitable accommodation. To have that money guaranteed by the scheme offers them a bridge to a new home.

John Elliston, the CEO of the 700 Club, expressed his delight at this second year of funding. “To have a home is a right not a privilege; the support provided by Virgin Money enables Bridge2Home to continue helping individuals and families  to realize that right”.
